On the morning of May 19th, 2016 Seminar on Fiscal and Economic Administration for Developing Countries had its opening ceremony in academic hall of Yizhen building. The Seminar was held to facilitate the communication and cooperation among developing countries’ officials in area of finance and administration meanwhile, promote all the nations’ fiscal and economic reform and development. Wu Chaoyang, school’s associate dean, and also presided over the ceremony. Deputy director of provincial commerce department Li Wenyao, vice president of JUFE Wang Xiaoping and school’s party secretary Luo Mingfang were present. There are 38 officials from 17 developing countries attended the ceremony.
Vice president Wang Xiaoping delivered a speech first. He, on behalf of JUFE, extended warmest welcome to all the trainees and also congratulations on the opening of the seminar. He introduced JUFE’s development concept, faculty group and some foreign-aid training courses in detail, which enabled all trainees to gain more insights into JUFE’s general information and meanwhile enhance their interests and confidence in study. He pointed out that JUFE would strive to fulfill the task with a high sense of responsibility and mission. Not only will JUFE meticulously allocate professors and design syllabus, but also try the best to offer logistics services, providing trainees with a superior and comfortable study environment. He hoped that the bilateral economic and trade interactions could be promoted through the Seminar.
Li Wenyao, deputy director of provincial commerce department, said that Chinese leaders attach great importance to cultivating the friendly and cooperative relations between China and other developing countries. As the embodiment of Chinese foreign aid, the financial seminar was an indispensable part, actively promoted by Chinese leaders. He sincerely hoped that the communication and cooperation in area of finance and administration could promote the complementary of economy among developing countries and expand the bilateral trade cooperation. He also mentioned that developing countries were supposed to work together to fulfill tasks of boosting economy and people’s livelihoods. Finally he warmly invited trainees to invest and start business in Jiangxi.
The representative of trainees, DERVISHI·OJANA, from Algeria, expressed her gladness to study in JUFE. She mentioned that China was a time-honored country and she had strongly felt the hospitality of JUFE. She said she would focus on study and apply the knowledge on future work.
During the workshop, trainees will have several discussions based on China’s national condition, China’s management of development zones and the challenges that China’s monetary policies are facing under global financial crisis. Besides, field trips in Shanghai and Beijing are available for trainees, providing an excellent chance for them to understand China’s industrial structure, exploring China’s successful experiences.
On the afternoon of May 19th, with mild drizzles, trainees had a pleasant trip on campus, including JUFE’s history museum and tax paper museum, which showed profound cultural foundation of the university.
Since 2008, JUFE has fulfilled many tasks commissioned by commerce department with a high sense of responsibility and mission.Not only did JUFE carefully allocate professors and design syllabus, but also tried our best to offer logistics services. The school has successfully organized many workshops, such as “Developing Countries’ Financial Openness and Risk Management Workshop”, “International Workshop of Financial Management” and “Seminar for African middle school teachers”, training more than 300 officials for developing countries. By now, characteristics of JUFE’s foreign-aid projects have formed as “ Processed management, Specialized education and Family-like service”. In the meanwhile, schools also carried out many cultural activities to embody China’s strength and share China’s experiences. School attaches great significance to promoting the mutual understanding, trust and cooperation among citizens from the countries along “One Belt One Road” and has successfully cultivated a group of knowledgeable and friendly international talents.
