The School of International Economics and Trade originated from the Trade and Economics Department of Jiangxi College of Finance and Economics in 1958. It was renamed as the International Trade Department in 1995, then established as the School of International Trade and Economics in July 1998, and further renamed as the School of International Trade and Economics in June 2009.
Over the past 60 years, all faculty and staff have united their efforts, worked hard, and devoted themselves to the goal of building a high-level finance and economics university that is "solid in foundation, distinctive in characteristics, satisfying to the people, and internationally renowned." Adhering to the concept of open education, the school aims to cultivate entrepreneurial business talents. It continuously improves the international trade discipline system, refines its academic features, optimizes the major structure, clarifies disciplinary directions, nurtures academic teams, actively promotes international development strategies, and has achieved remarkable progress.
In the context of rapid economic globalization and a new phase of China's opening-up, the school always prioritizes teaching quality, aligns with major national needs, connects with national strategies, and relies on the "3+3 talent training innovation experimental zone."
