On the afternoon of December 21, the online closing ceremony of "2023 Foreign Investment Seminar on Promoting Urban Infrastructure Projects in Iran" sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and co-sponsored by Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics and Jiangxi College of Foreign Trade was held in our university. Vice President Que Shandong attended the ceremony and delivered a speech, while Wu Zhaoyang, Dean of the Sshool of International Trade and Economics, Liu Xiaobing, Deputy Director of the office of International Cooperation and Exchange , Wang Shubai, Vice Dean of the Sshool of International Trade and Economics, Xu Tao, Counselor of International Students, relevant staff of Overseas Students' Work Office, and all the participants of Iranian Seminar attended the ceremony.
On behalf of the university, Mr. Que extended his congratulations to the participants who had successfully completed their studies. He said that on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the "Belt and Road" Initiative, the successful organization of this workshop is of great significance. He also introduced to the students that the original intention of the "Belt and Road" initiative is to learn from the ancient Silk Road, with connectivity as the main line, and to strengthen policy communication, facility connectivity, trade facilitation, financial integration and people-to-people communication with other countries. Que Shandong hoped that all the trainees would stick to this original intention, apply the results of this training to their work, especially in urban infrastructure construction work to play a more active role, and join hands with people from all over the world to continue to promote the vigorous development of the "Belt and Road" international cooperation.
Mr. Mehran Khamisi Zadeh, Deputy Director of International Affairs Center of Iran's Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, spoke as the representative of the workshop participants, expressing his sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Commerce for providing this valuable learning opportunity, and highly evaluating the curriculum, faculty, and excellent organization of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (JUFE). He said that he had benefited a lot from this workshop and would apply the valuable experience and professional knowledge gained from this study in the future to lay a solid foundation for future development.
The closing ceremony was also carefully designed to award the certificate of completion of cloud conferment ceremony, in the venue of the exciting music, Que Shandong for the workshop all the students awarded the certificate of completion and took a group photo to commemorate the occasion.
The 14-day workshop, which was closely centered on the theme of "Promoting Urban Infrastructure Development", helped participants gain a deeper understanding of China's achievements and experiences in promoting urban infrastructure development, and laid a solid foundation for closer communication, contact and in-depth friendly cooperation between Iran and China in urban infrastructure development in the future.
